Sturminster Newton Union

Board meets at the Poor Law Institution, every alternate Wednesday at 10.30am.
Assessment Committee meets at the Poor Law Institution one Wednesday in the month at 10.30am.
The Union comprises the following Parishes:

The area of the Union is 39,342 acres; rateable value, Lady Day 1915, 71,125; the population in 1911 was 8,504.

Chairman of the Board of Guardians, Edward H. White, Marnhull, Sturminster Newton.
Clerk to the Guardians and Assessment Committee, Arthur W. H. Creech, Market Place.
Poor Law Institution, James Croft Master, Mrs A. Croft Matron.
Children attend the Elementary School.

Elementary School, boys, girls and infants, with residence for the Master, built in 1825 for 100 boys, 80 girls and 80 infants;
