Market Harborough Union Workhouse
The Board of Guardians meet alternate Fridays at the Union House, at 11am. The population of the Union in 1891 was 16,398, area 66,659 acres and rateable value in 1899 £145,921.
Half a mile north of the Town, on the Leicester Road, is the Union House, erected in 1836-37 for 200 inmates.
